What Do You Want to Be?

Day 5
I am your creator. You must know me more intimately than you know anyone or anything else. I know everything about you, and I love you with no reservation. I know exactly how you can become what I have planned for you. I made you, fashioned you from the inside out, and I continue to form you. I will complete the good work I have begun. You cannot change yourself. I have made you exactly how I want you.

You must get my word into your innermost being, so that I can transform and renew you. You have a will that you must submit to me. If you know my word, you will always know what to do when you are seeking me.

What I need and what I desire is that my people will seek me and know me. This is a continuous process, and it will never end. I will accomplish all I have set out to do. How much a part of it all do you want to be?

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down. You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord [Psalm 139:1-4].

Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus [Philippians 1:6].

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will [Romans 12:2].

Look to Me

Day 4
I have so much to give you, so many things to teach you. Eat my words–they are nourishment. Listen to my voice so that you do not stray away. Remember all I have done. My work in your life will never cease. There are many things we will accomplish together. Learn to look to me for guidance at every turn. It doesn’t matter how much knowledge you have acquired. You will be equipped in every circumstance if you look to me.

I have prepared you, and I will sustain and uphold you. Don’t seek guidance from anywhere else until you have come to me first. I will not let you down. I have everything you need.

Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth [Ezekiel 3:3].

For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you, Lord [2 Chronicles 20:12].

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand [Isaiah 41:10].

Stay Connected!

Day 3
Your time with me is like oxygen to your body. You will suffocate without it. Though the world may seem to be crumbling around you, still I am the same. I am your strength, your shield, and your exceeding great reward. As I was to Abraham, so I will be for you. I am going to do great things.

You must be constantly connected to me. Every day discipline yourself to maintain this contact in the morning. You can do that. From this you will receive all you need to meet the demands of your day and the people in your day, and you will succeed – step by step, one day at a time, one truth at a time. Invest these mornings to store up my word in your heart. It is life. Let my thoughts flow into you to regenerate your spirit daily. This is how you walk with me – my mind in you.

The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend [Exodus 33:11].

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, and your very great reward" [Genesis 15:1].

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing [John 15:5].

Find Out the Word

Day 2
Get my word into your heart. Keep it deep within you. My word is life, and it will transform you from the inside out. I have always been here and always will be.

You must trust me. I love you. I know the end from the beginning. Find out what to do to obey me, and I will bring it to pass. You cannot control what other people do, only what you do.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you [Psalm 119:11].

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life [John 6:63].

And find out what pleases the Lord [Ephesians 5:10].

Spend Time With Me

Day 1

Scene from The Passion of the Christ

You must spend time with me every day. This is your nourishment. Everything flows out from it. I will order your steps and direct your paths. Obey me. Trust me. Seek me continually. You do not have to work out any circumstances. You must be connected to me, and I will accomplish my will. This is the most important thing: that you abide in me. Seek my face and listen.

Glory in his holy name; let the steps of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always [Psalm 104:3,4].

The steps of a righteous man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way [Psalm 37:23].

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight [Proverbs 3:5,6].
