Follow-Through

Day 111
Finish what you start. Don't allow yourself to be distracted from following through. Keep getting back to center. Keep in the front of your mind the things I have told you to do. They are clear and simple. I will never tell you too much. I do and say everything on purpose. My purposes are always good.

At least once a day, gather up all the fragmented things: all the silly, frustrating, insulting, oppressive things that are hurled at you throughout the day. Some of them stick to you. Some of them fall at your feet and some of them tangle you up. Pick them all up, and deliberately throw them onto Me. Release them. If you don't, they will pile up and keep you from finishing what I have given you.

If you give all the fragmented things to Me, and let them go, I will blow them away. Then stick with Me, hearing my voice, until you are back on top of it all again. Then you will see clearly and be enabled to follow through.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. -- Hebrews 10:35-39

Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it). -- 1 Peter 5:6-11 [AMP]
